Ira Puspadewi Et Al Called KPK Not Immediately Free After The Ministry Of Law And Human Rights Sends A Copy Of The Rehabilitation Presidential Decree

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that former President Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry, Ira Puspadewi and two other former directors were not immediately released even though they received rehabilitation from President Prabowo Subianto. There are a number of stages that must be taken after a copy of the Presidential Decree (Keppres) from the Ministry of Law is received.

"Of course there will be several administrative processes, yes, what will be done if we have received the rehabilitation decree," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, November 26.

The administrative process, continued Budi, one of which is the signature of the leadership. "There will be a disposition to the public prosecutor later, it will also be processed," he said.

Even so, Budi emphasized that the Presidential Decree regarding the rehabilitation of Ira Puspadewi et al has not been received by the KPK until now. "We are still waiting for the letter to be able to carry out its follow-up," he said.

"Later we will inform you again if we have received the decree," he continued.

As previously reported, President Prabowo Subianto signed the granting of rehabilitation for three parties involved in the alleged corruption of business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry. They are Ira Puspadewi as former Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry; former Director of Planning and Development of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry, Harry Muhammad Adhi Caksono, and former Commercial and Service Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry.

The decision was conveyed by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad in a press statement with Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya at the Presidential office, Jakarta, Tuesday, November 25.

"From the results of communication with the government, thank God there are today, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo Subianto has signed a letter of rehabilitation for the three names," he said.

Meanwhile, Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu stated that he respects the provision of rehabilitation for Ira Puspadewi, et al. The three of them are known to have been convicted by the Jakarta Corruption Court regarding the alleged corruption in the acquisition and business cooperation (KSU) of PT Jembatan Nusantara on Thursday, November 20.

"KPK respects the rehabilitation decision given by the President as the prerogative of the President to the three directors of PT ASDP," said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday night, November 25.

Asep further emphasized that the KPK has carried out its duties in investigating allegations of corruption committed by Ira et al. Investigators, investigators and public prosecutors who handle this case formally, our work has been tested with pretrial submissions and we have also passed it," he said.
