Donald Trump Urges 'Rush Hour 4', Paramount Loves Green Light
JAKARTA - Rush Hour 4 is reportedly entering the development stage after US President Donald Trump asked Paramount.
Quoting People, Paramount is developing the Rush Hour film with Paramount shareholder Larry Ellison with director Brett Ratner.
Brett Ratner as the director of his original film in 1998 is projected to direct the latest film.
Donald Trump allegedly lobbied Paramount to Larry Ellison who is Paramount's largest shareholder.
Previously, Jackie Chan revealed that they had spoken about the idea of Rush Hour in 2022 but did not mention who the director was discussing with him.
Director Brett Ratner has also been accused by several actresses of sexual harassment amid the #MeToo campaign that circulated in 2017. Ratner denied all allegations and sued Melanie Kohler for her rape.

That led him to be appointed director of a documentary about Melania Trump with Amazon MGM Studios.
This news is still an issue considering Paramount has yet to speak about Rush Hour. Likewise with Jackie Chan, who was involved in the news of his death several times, which turned out to be a hoax.
This year, Jackie Chan acted through the films The Shadow's Edge and Karate Kid: Legends. He also played in the film Panda Plan 2 and Guo Jia Jia.
