Juventus Wins First Win In Champions League, Spalletti: Lose If Failed

JAKARTA - Juventus finally won their first win in the Champions League after defeating the bottom team Bodo/Glimt 3-2 in a duel at the Aspmyra Stadium, Bodo, Wednesday, November 26, 2025 in the morning WIB. Coach Luciano Spalletti said he was satisfied that Juve could win because of a big loss if he failed to bring home three points.

Juve had to struggle to beat the real Bodo/Glimt, including a team that was not taken into account. They are just a complement to European competition and Bodo/Glimt have never won in the preliminary round.

However, this Norwegian League club was able to put up a tight fight and even took the lead first. Kasper Hogh striker successfully broke into Mattia Perin's goal which put the hosts 1-0 up in the 27th minute.

In a position behind, Juve actually played more offensively to equalize. Only their attacks always run aground so that Spellatti's troops were unable to score goals throughout the first half.

In the second half, the appearance of the Bianconeri has changed. They played more aggressively and the effort to break the deadlock finally arrived when Lois Openda broke into the Bodo/Glimt goal in the 48th minute.

After a 1-1 draw, Juve stepped up the pressure again. Only two minutes later, this Italian Serie A team was able to add goals through Fabio Mirzatti. Only Miretti's goal was disallowed because he was in an offside position.

But Miretti paid for his mistake by providing an assist that Weston McKennie completed in the 59th minute. Bodo/Glimt refused to give up and managed to equalize the score 2-2 when Sondre Brunstad Fet scored from the penalty spot in the 87th minute.

Penalti diberikan setelah Juan Cabal menutuhkan Sondre Auklend di area terlarang. Fet pun menyelesaikan eksekusi dengan baik.

When the game was expected to end in a draw, Jonathan David's striker brought Juve back ahead in injury time. David completed a mature pass from Kenan Yildiz in the 90+1 minute which changed the score to 3-2. The score lasted until the game was over.

The team played openly and displayed an attacking game very well. But it must be admitted that Bodo/Glimt played impressively. The feedback and speed of the players are really impressive," Spalletti said as quoted by Sky Sports Italia.

We did not play well in the second half. After the break, they also managed to score a second goal. But we finally won. Of course it would be a shame if we failed to bring home the full three points. But apparently the players know what to do," said the former coach of the Italian national team.

"This is an important victory and we deserve it. We dedicate this result to fans who come to watch us compete," he said again.

According to Spalletti, this victory means a lot after La Vecchia Totala was only able to draw in the last three matches in various competitions. Spalletti assessed that the team still had to be stronger in terms of mentality.

"Players have to be stronger in confidence and courage. We really have to do better in terms of mentality and in training. Why do we have to do better training? We still haven't found the right rhythm in training," said Spalletti.

Victory over Bodo/Glimt made Juve move up to rank 21 or in the playoffs zone by pocketing point six. Meanwhile, Bodo/Glimt, who have point two, are at the bottom or position 31.
