DANA Launches Mini Premium Account: Savings Feature For Children

JAKARTA - Digital Dompet DANA launched the Premium Mini (Premini) FUND, the latest feature innovation that allows teens aged 13 to under 17 to have a Premium FUND account.

Premium DANA account registration can be done through the electronic knowledge of Your Customer (e-KYC) based on a Child Identity Card (KIA) with parental consent.

The presence of this feature is based on the 2025 National Literacy and Financial Inclusion Survey (SNLIK) released by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS).

Data shows that the 15'17 year age group has a financial inclusion index of 74 percent, still lower than the national index, which is 80.51 percent. One of the obstacles is because the age group does not yet have an electronic ID card.

CEO & Co-Founder of DANA Indonesia, Vince Iswara emphasized that the launch of this feature is intended to expand access to secure, inclusive, and educational digital finance for children and adolescents.

"DANA is committed to being a bridge to financial inclusion and helping Indonesians build a healthy financial lifestyle," Vince said in a statement quoted Wednesday, November 26.

The presence of this feature also supports the government's initiative through Government Regulation (PP) Number 17 of 2025 concerning Governance for the Implementation of Electronic Systems in Child Protection (PP TUNAS).

The launch of the Premium Mini DANA is the result of a collaboration between DANA and Dukcapil and the Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs, as a form of support for strengthening the national Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI).

Through KIA-based e-KYC integration, youth user identity verification can now be carried out validly, quickly, and safely, in line with national population data protection regulations.

"Through the Premium Mini FUND, verification can be carried out by matching children's accounts with parents or family heads in one Family Card, so that children can start accessing digital financial services safely under the supervision of their parents," said Handayani Ningrum, Director of National Population Data Integration, Directorate General of Dukcapil, Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

The Mini Premium FUND has a maximum balance limit of IDR 2,000,000 and can be used to refill balances, QRIS payments, to transfers between users. This feature has been adjusted to the needs and safety of teenage users.
