The Attorney General's Office Examines The Crude Oil Suspect For The Petral Case
The Attorney General's Office is examining a number of suspects in the alleged corruption case of crude oil management and refinery products of PT Pertamina for the 2018-2023 period as witnesses to the alleged corruption case in the procurement of crude oil by Pertamina Energy Trading Ltd. (Petral) 2008-2015.
"This, right, comes from the development of Pertamina's case which has been transferred to the court. There are several witnesses (the Petral case) partly from there," said Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) AGO Anang Supriatna as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 25.
He said the examination was carried out because there was a connection in it.
"Because of his relationship with his position and knowledge too," he said.
However, Kapuspenkum did not reveal who the suspects were being examined as witnesses.
Regarding the news that the alleged corruption case in Petral will be transferred to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Anang said the delegation decision was not yet official.
"Informal talks already exist, but so far there has been no official connection with how the Petral case is handled," he said.
He ensured that the AGO would continue to coordinate with the KPK regarding the delegation plan.
It is known that investigators at the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the AGO began investigating the alleged corruption case in the procurement of crude oil in October 2025.
Anang said this case was a new case and not development.
He also stated that there was no estimated state loss due to this corruption case.
Regarding the details of the alleged corruption case in the procurement of crude oil, he could not reveal it.
