The Fire Of The Textile Factory In Jababeka Cikarang Was Successfully Tired, Shif 1 Workers Had Been Returned
The Bekasi Regency Fire Department (Damkar) in West Java managed to extinguish the fire that scorched the production warehouse building owned by PT. TAK Tekstil Indonesia in the Jababeka Cikarang industrial area after struggling for tens of hours.
Head of the Bekasi Regency Fire Department, Adeng Hudaya, said 11 units of the fire fleet from various posts were deployed to extinguish the fire and now only seven units remain for the cooling process.
"We received a report at around 01.00 WIB. Then we launched, from Mako Cibitung, Pos Cikarang Selatan, Pos Tenda, Pos Pilar, and Pos Lobamukti. We were also assisted by Cikarangindo and Jababeka. A total of 11 fleets," he said in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, Tuesday, confiscated by Antara.
He stated that the fire could only be extinguished after more than 12 hours of effort. Officers struggled to deal with incidents in affected areas covering an area of 1,000 square meters with the condition of many flammable textiles.
"This textile material is very flammable. There is still a lot of material in the warehouse that leaves fire and smoke. We continue to cool down with seven units so that the fire really disappears," he said.
In addition, officers must also use special extinguishing techniques with typol or fire poison for textile materials.
The large amount of textile material and the area of the warehouse are the main obstacles. In addition, the hotspots are in crowded areas of goods, so extra handling is needed to ensure that there is no spread to the other two buildings.
"We have localized it, only one building caught fire. The other two are safe," he said.
