The Ministry Of Public Works Disbursed The Priority Infrastructure Project Next Year, Here's The List

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) has established strategic steps for 2026 by carrying out the vision of fair and sustainable infrastructure development throughout Indonesia.

Quoted from the official Instagram account @kementerianpu, Tuesday, November 25, PU Minister Dody Hanggodo explained, the budget allocation of the Ministry of Public Works in 2026 will target the priority sector mandated by President Prabowo Subianto.

"The 2026 PU Ministry budget is allocated for various priority sectors mandated by President Prabowo, including the construction of irrigation networks, improvement of national and regional road connectivity, provision of drinking water and sanitation, construction of educational buildings and community services as well as accelerating community-based infrastructure," said Dody.

Meanwhile, the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure, Development and Region (IPK) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) said that food, water and energy security are aspects that are shared priorities.

"President Prabowo Subianto has carried out a clear and courageous development agenda. We must secure the nation's future by strengthening food security, water security and energy security through an integrated, fair and sustainable future," he said.

The following is a list of infrastructure development plans for 2026 that have been grouped based on their fields:

Water Resources Sector

1. Construction of irrigation networks (15,851 hectares)

2. irrigation network rehabilitation well (197,430 hectares)

3. Flood control (82 kilometers)

4. Coastal security (8 kilometers)

5. Supply of raw water (500 liters per second)

6. Groundwater and reservoir irrigation wells (800 points)

7. Irrigation Water Administration Acceleration Program, community-based infrastructure implemented by directly involving the participation of farmers through the IBM P3-TGAI Water User Association (12,000 locations)

8. Dam construction (ongoing 15 dams)

9. OP SDA Infrastructure

10. Disaster emergency response and flood material

Highways Sector

1. Construction of a new road (191 kilometers)

2. Increase in capacity and increase preparation (1,392 kilometers)

3. Construction and duplication of bridges (1,734 meters)

4. Bridge preservation (31,434 meters)

5. Replacement of bridge (964 meters)

6. Jembatan gantung (105 units)

7. Pembangunan flyover atau underpass (363 meter)

9. Construction of toll roads using the State Budget (28.19 kilometers)

Sebelumnya, Komisi V DPR menyetujui pagu anggaran definitif Kementerian PU untuk 2026 sebesar Rp118,5 triliun.

Persetujuan tersebut dibacakan oleh Ketua Komisi V DPR RI Lasarus saat Rapat Dengar Pendapat (RDP) bersama seluruh mitra kerja di Kompleks Parlemen, Senayan, Jakarta, Senin, 15 September.

Lasarus bilang, hal itu menindaklanjuti surat Badan Anggaran kepada komisi V DPR RI tanggal 11 September 2025 Nomor B/13703/AG.05.02/09/2025 perihal penyampaian hasil pembahasan RUU APBN tahun 2026.

"Komisi V DPR RI menyetujui pagu anggaran Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum sebesar Rp118,5 triliun setelah dilakukan penyesuaian di Badan Anggaran," ujar Lasarus.

Previously, Commission V of the DPR approved the Ministry of Public Works' definitive budget ceiling for 2026 of IDR 118.5 trillion.

The approval was read out by the Chairman of Commission V DPR RI Lasarus during a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with all partners at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, September 15.

Lasarus said this was following up on a letter from the Budget Agency to Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) on September 11, 2025 Number B/13703/AG.05.02/09/2025 regarding the submission of the results of the 2026 State Budget Bill discussion.

"Commission V DPR RI approved the budget ceiling of the Ministry of Public Works of Rp. 118.5 trillion after adjustments were made to the Budget Agency," said Lasarus.
