JAKARTA - Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu'ti conveyed a message not to judge and judge the performance of teachers from mere numbers, considering that the first and first education responsibilities are parents and family.

Mendikdasmen Abdul Mu'ti menyampaikan pesan tersebut dalam pidato ceremoni bendera peringatan Hari Guru Nasional (HGN) 2025 yang diselenggarakan di Kota Surabaya, Jawa Timur.

"Don't just judge their performance and judge them from numbers. In fact, the first and foremost educational responsibilities are parents and family. Give teachers the opportunity to help educate children in the best way, improve communication, cooperation, and respect each other," said Minister of Education Abdul Mu'ti, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 25.

According to him, teachers are learning agents and civilization because they carry out the task of educating, building critical reasoning, a clear heart, and noble morals.

He added that the presence of teachers as agents of civilization is increasingly needed in the midst of the complexity of student problems, such as academic, social, moral, spiritual problems, dependence on gadgets, online gambling (judol), economic difficulties, family harmony, and so on.

"I urge the public, parents, and all parties to appreciate the hard work of the teachers," said Minister of Education and Culture Abdul Mu'ti.

In addition, the Minister of Education and Culture also invited teachers to straighten out their intentions, strengthen motivation, and strengthen their identity.

The Minister of Education and Culture, Abdul Mu'ti, said that to be able to carry out this noble task, ideally teachers have intellectual, social, moral stamina that is prime, steadfast, and resilient in the midst of various challenges and problems.
