Gandeng Kimia Farma, President Director Of BCA Jahja Setiaatmadja: We Are Grateful To Be The First Bank To Vaccinate Gotong Royong For Employees

JAKARTA - The banking industry is the lifeblood of the economic system in the country. In order to provide optimal service to customers during the pandemic, as well as contribute to the creation of communal immunity or herd immunity, symbolically PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) conducted gotong royong vaccination to BCA employees.

President Director of BCA Jahja Setiaatmadja said that it will provide vaccinations to all employees, especially those who interact directly with customers and are in the main work unit. The bank owned by hartono conglomerate wants to ensure the operation of the system and 24-hour service for customers.

In addition to the Gotong Royong vaccine program in collaboration with PT Kimia Farma, Jahja said, a number of BCA employees have obtained vaccine doses through government vaccination programs with the support of the Ministry of Health, BI, OJK, and local governments.

"BCA is committed to providing vaccines to employees' families in accordance with the process determined by the government in the future," he said at a press conference on Monday, May 24.

Jahja said BCA supports the acceleration of vaccination programs for employees because the banking industry is an essential sector that is allowed to continue operating during the period of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) which has been in the risk zone in providing services to customers and the public.

Furthermore, Jahja said the vaccination is also part of BCA's contribution in supporting economic recovery programs through communal immunity in the community.

"We are grateful to be the first bank to carry out Gotong Royong vaccinations for employees. This is part of the company's responsibility to provide optimal service, and ensure a sense of security and comfort for BCA employees and their families, as well as all customers," he said.

Jahja also thanked KADIN Chairman Rosan Roeslani, Kadin Vice Chairman Shinta Kamdani, and all parties who have helped implement mutual assistance vaccination for BCA employees.

According to Jahja, during the pandemic, BCA has implemented strict health protocols in accordance with procedures and regulations set by the government and the WORLD Health Organization. On the same occasion, President Director of PT Kimia Farma Tbk Verdi Budidarmo said that after supporting the manufacturing industry at the kick off of Gotong Royong Vaccination on May 18, 2021, NOW PT Kimia Farma Tbk supports the banking industry, namely BCA.
