Weather Today: Cloudy Conditions To Thunderstorms In Various Areas
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts various weather in a number of parts of Indonesia on Tuesday, November 25 from cloudy, light rain, to rain accompanied by lightning.
BMKG forecaster Afif Shalahuddin said that light rain on the island of Sumatra is predicted to occur in Pekanbaru, Padang, and Tanjung Pinang.
"Rain with moderate intensity also has the potential to occur in Banda Aceh City and Medan City," Afif said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday morning.
Afif added that thick cloudy weather is predicted to cover Bandar Lampung City. Meanwhile, light rain is predicted to fall in Jambi, Bengkulu, Palembang, and Pangkalpinang.
In Java, he continued, thick cloudy weather is predicted in Serang, Jakarta, Bandung, and Yogyakarta.
"Adara kabur has the potential to appear in Surabaya, while light rain is predicted to occur in Semarang City," he said.
As for the areas of Bali and Nusa Tenggara, he said, BMKG predicts cloudy weather in Kupang and Mataram, as well as light rain in Denpasar.
Meanwhile, on the island of Kalimantan, light rain is predicted to fall in Samarinda and Palangkaraya. Afif reminded the public to be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning or lightning in Pontianak, Banjarmasin, and Tanjung Selor.
Light rain conditions are also predicted to occur in Sulawesi areas such as Manado, Gorontalo, Palu, Makassar, and Kendari.
"Modium rain also has the potential to occur in Mamuju City," Afif continued.

For eastern Indonesia, he said, thick cloudy weather is predicted in Ambon and Nabire. Light rain is predicted to occur in Ternate, Manokwari, Jayapura, Jayawijaya, and Merauke, while rain accompanied by lightning needs to be watched out for in Sorong City.
