KAI Records Sales Of Nataru Train Tickets Reaching 566,806 Tickets

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that ticket reservations for the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year (Nataru) Transportation periods had reached 566,806 tickets, or 20.48 percent of the total 2,767,688 seats provided.

The train ticket sales are for the travel period from 18 December 2025 to 4 January 2026

KAI Vice President Public Relations Anne Purba said the availability of tickets was still very large. KAI also reminded the public to make an early booking.

"If done from the start, customers still have the opportunity to get discount rates according to the available quota and choose the desired travel schedule," he said in an official statement, Monday, November 24.

Anne explained that KAI provides a 30 percent discount for regular 156 train trips and 26 additional commercial economy class trains. The discount quota reaches 1,509,080 customers, valid for departures from December 22, 2025 to January 10, 2026.

"Tickets with discount rates can be ordered through all official channels until January 10, 2026. Discounts do not apply at special rates and cannot be combined with other discount programs. However discount tickets can still be canceled and scheduled according to the rules," explained Anne.

Furthermore, Anne said that the discount quota is still available on many dates and relations.

The list of trains that get a 30 percent discount can be seen through the Access by KAI application. We encourage people to immediately take advantage of this opportunity while the quota is still quite large," said Anne.

Anne emphasized that KAI ensures the readiness of facilities, infrastructure, services, and security to support smooth mobility during the long year-end holidays.
