South Sulawesi Police Detain 7 Suspects Of Riots Leading To Burning Houses In Tallo Makassar
A total of seven perpetrators of a brawl between youth groups that led to riots in the burning of residents' houses until two people were declared dead by an air rifle bullet in the jurisdiction of Tallo District, were named suspects. They were also immediately arrested.
"From this attack, it resulted in the burning of 13 houses, six people have been arrested. The shooter has been arrested (one person), namely the initials CB," said Head of Public Relations of the South Sulawesi Police, Kombes Didik Supranoto, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 24.
The six suspects who burned the house each with the initials RM (18), MR (18), SU (18), SP (20) and two minors, namely AQ (17) and FD (16). These six suspects are subject to Article 187 Paragraph 1, Juncto Articles 55 and 56, and Article 170 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code, with a maximum penalty of 12 years in prison.
Meanwhile, the suspect in the shooting of the victim with the initials CP (43), namely CB (36), is subject to mechanical work subject to Article 338 of the Criminal Code, subsidiary Article 351 paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code, with a maximum imprisonment of 15 years.

He explained that the chronology of the brawl between youth groups occurred on Sunday (16/11) at around 20.30 WITA. Youth from the Sapiria village group with the Borong Taipa (Borta) group, Tallo District, attacked each other.
Unfortunately, one of the initials CP worked as a laborer and was shot by an air rifle bullet in the head.
After being shot, tomorrow, Monday (17/11) at around 09.00 WITA, the family took the victim to the Academic Hospital. The victim had received medical treatment, but on Tuesday (18/11) at around 9.30 WITA, the victim was declared dead.
The victim's funeral was carried out at the Beroangin TPU at around 13.00 WITA. After the funeral procession, at around 14.30 WITA, a group of youths from Sapiria who supported him did not accept it, then carried out an attack on the youth group of Borta village. As a result of the attack, 13 houses were burned down.
After a day, clashes between youth groups broke out again on Jalan Tinumbu, aisle 148 with the youth group of Jalan Layang.
The night of the incident, one of them was hit by an air rifle bullet with the initials MD (16). The victim was finally declared dead, while the perpetrator was still being searched by the police.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Ditreskrimum of the South Sulawesi Regional Police, Kombes Setiadi Sulaksono, said that there were 2 minors who were the perpetrators of the arson.
In order to secure a conducive situation and conditions, two companies of the South Sulawesi Police Mobile Brigade Unit and a company of South Sulawesi Police Dalmas have been deployed to maintain the security situation after the clashes between the youths.
