JAKARTA - The government will build feed factories to the production of young chickens to increase domestic supply. In the first phase, 13 factories will be built in a number of areas.

Amran also emphasized that the project undertaken by the government aims to help farmers and stabilize the price of domestic chicken meat and eggs.
"Our development of chickens is a factory and even the preparation of DOCs to serve small petanakan-petakan, so that the government's goal is not to have trouble finding a DOC and get a good price of clothing, that's our goal," he said at the DPR Building, Jakarta, Monday, November 24.
In a working meeting with Commission IV of the DPR, Amran revealed about DOC which was deliberately increased by entrepreneurs. According to him, this condition makes it difficult for small breeders or independent.
"Yesterday when demand was high, the DOC was increased by 30 percent. So we immediately called Charoen Pokphand (to ask for a price) to go down. Thank God it fell (d DOC price)," he said.
