Member Of Commission VII DPR Rahmawati Zainal Urges BSN To Reveal Real Impact On National Industry
JAKARTA Member of Commission VII DPR Rahmawati Zainal emphasized that the revocation of the accreditation of 46 Assessment Agencies (LPK) throughout January 'November 2025 is not a small matter.
He emphasized this, at the DPR Commission VII Working Meeting with Plt. Head of the National Standardization Agency (BSN), Monday, November 24.
"There must be an open explanation regarding the sectors that are most affected. Moreover, the revocation of large amounts of accreditation has the potential to prevent a number of regularity assessment services from running," said Rahmawati.
The Gerindra politician from the electoral district (dapil) of Kaltara emphasized that this condition could delay the fulfillment of industrial needs and public services that depend on test results, inspections, or certification.
"BSN must mention in detail the affected sectors and accreditation schemes. By knowing the service gap, the government can immediately ensure that no industrial sector is hampered," he said.
He also highlighted the weak risk mapping of the disappearance of the 46 LPKs. Moreover, without a clear mapping, the potential for disruption to supply chains, product certification, and public services can be even greater.
"Has BSN mapped service gaps in critical sectors and what concrete steps will be taken to ensure that industrial and consumer needs remain met," said Rahmawati.
Rahmawati said that regularity assessment services are a strategic element in maintaining national standards, protecting consumers, and ensuring industrial competitiveness.
"For this reason, I ask BSN to strengthen the accreditation system and improve coordination between institutions so that service vacancies do not happen again," he said.
