Amran Reports To DPR, Ministry Of Agriculture Budget Of IDR 8 Trillion Blocked By Ministry Of Finance
JAKARTA - Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Andi Amran Sulaiman revealed that the budget of the Ministry of Agriculture of IDR 8 trillion is still blocked by the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu). Therefore, he said the 2025 budget absorption was not optimal.
Furthermore, Amran said, the Ministry of Agriculture's budget for 2025 has only been absorbed by 72.41 percent as of November 20, 2025, from a ceiling of IDR 31.91 trillion.
"In September there was still a blocking of IDR 8 trillion, and in October there was still a partial block. This is one of the causes of delays of only 72 percent," he said in a meeting with Commission IV of the DPR, quoted from YouTube Commission IV, in Jakarta, Monday, November 24.
Amran said, the Ministry of Agriculture's 2025 budget ceiling was set at IDR 31.91 trillion. This figure includes an additional budget sourced from the Additional Expenditure Budget (ABT) of IDR 2.46 trillion.
Then, the budget blocking is carried out in the official travel budget of Rp136 billion which is determined by the Ministry of Finance and maintained selective use.
"It can be used after obtaining recommendation approval and blocking non-official travel sourced from foreign loan funding of IDR 572 billion. Thus, the effective monument of the Ministry of Agriculture in 2025 is IDR 31.12 trillion," he said.
Amran said the additional budget sourced from ABT was a follow-up to President Prabowo Subianto's direct direction to the Ministry of Agriculture.
Furthermore, said Amran, the additional budget is directed to increase the production of strategic agricultural commodities, including sugar cane, coffee, coconut, cocoa, mente, pepper, and nutmeg.
"Through regional development programs, strengthening improvements, plantation plants, and other management and technical support," said Amran.
