New KKP Budget Realization 39.80 Percent, Minister Trenggono Reveals The Cause

The realization of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) budget until November 22, 2025 has only reached Rp39.80 percent of the total 2025 effective ceiling of Rp8.14 trillion.

Minister of KP Sakti Wahyu Trenggono revealed that the low budget absorption was due to the refocusing of programs and budgets for the 2025 Fiscal Year (TA) in the current year.

As a result, the implementation of strategic programs and activities can only begin in the second semester of 2025.

"This condition causes most programs to be still in the implementation of the current work and is expected to be completed by the end of the year," Trenggono said at a Working Meeting (Raker) with Commission IV of the DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, November 24.

In addition, said Trenggono, payment for the term of work is based on the physical progress of the field without giving a down payment.

This is done to ensure that all work is completed with good quality without any state financial losses.

"These factors have resulted in the budget absorption process not being optimal until mid-November," he said.

Even so, Trenggono is optimistic that the KKP budget absorption can reach around 90 percent by the end of the year.

"However, we are optimistic that the realization of the budget by the end of 2025 will reach approximately 90 percent of the total effective ceiling of IDR 8.14 trillion," said Trenggono.

Moreover, he continued, there are at least four main priority programs being run by the KKP. Among other things, the construction of the Red and White Fishing Village (KNMP) in 100 locations is carried out in stages. Second, the salt self-sufficiency program through extensification and intensification.

Ketiga, program pembangunan modeling budi daya ikan nila salin di Karawang. Keempat, program pembangunan budi daya tematik untuk mendukung program Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) serta program-program pemberdayaan masyarakat untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat kelautan dan perikanan.

"Dan program-program prioritas yang dilaksanakan akan secara cepat memberikan dampak nyata terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi, terwujudnya swasembada pangan, pelaksanaan MBG, peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat serta penciptaan lapangan kerja," jelas Trenggono.
