Ahead Of The 494th Anniversary, Anies Believes Jakarta's Year Rose From The Pandemic
JAKARTA - The Provincial Government of Dki Jakarta announced a series of commemorations of the 494th anniversary of Jakarta. Governor Anies Baswedan chose to celebrate with the theme 'Jakarta rises.'
Anies said that during the year DKI Jakarta experienced a decrease in the intensity of economic, social, cultural, and religious activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many activities that rely on interaction between people decrease.
"In the last year, we are in a relatively new test period. Jakarta has experienced various disasters, but this outbreak is only now. If illustrated, like something that comes down because of the health challenges," said Anies in a Youtube impression of the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta, Monday, May 24.
This year, Anies said 2021 is the year in which Jakarta began to revive economic and social activities. In addition, the COVID-19 vaccination program is now running gradually.
"We have now begun to enter the phase towards awakening. Hopefully, we will have a city that is tougher, stronger, more resilient than before the pandemic," he said.
Anies underlines Jakarta is a city of collaboration. Collaboration was launched because Anies wants all resources in the Capital to work together.
In Jakarta, he continued, there are diverse natural resources. No other city in Indonesia has as many businesses, media, organizations, institutions in Jakarta.
"With so many actors of development in this city, aayang once if the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta do it all by itself. Instead we must invite all to work together to advance the city of Jakarta," he concluded.
