Chairman Of The Kaltara DPRD Urges Central Government To Accelerate Road Repairs To PSN Tanah Kuning-Mangkupadi

TANJUNG SELOR Chairman of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of North Kalimantan (Kaltara), H. Achmad Djufrie, again raised the problem of road infrastructure to the Tanah Kuning-Mangkupadi National Strategic Project (PSN) area in Tanjung Palas Timur District, Bulungan Regency.

This pressure to the central government has also been conveyed by Achmad Djufrie to Commission V of the DPR during a working visit (Kunker) to Kaltara, some time ago

"The road to Tanah Kuning-Mangkupadi is an urgent issue that needs to be addressed by the central government immediately. Commission V of the DPR RI has conveyed that it is discussing regional readiness to support the development of the national industrial area," said Achmad Djufrie, Monday, November 24.

This Gerindra Party politician emphasized that the condition of Jalan Tanah Kuning is still experiencing a lot of damage. This is very contrary to the status of Tanah Kuning and Mangkupadi villages as the location for the development of the Indonesian Green Industrial Estate (KIHI) or PSN which is of concern to the government.

The land of Kuning and Mangkupadi has been designated as a national strategic area. However, access to the area does not reflect the readiness of adequate infrastructure. This should be a serious concern of the central government," said Djufrie.

He explained that the existence of KIHI not only had a major impact on the development of the green industry in Indonesia, but would also be the center of new economic growth in Kaltara.

"For this reason, the feasibility of access to this location is a basic necessity that cannot be negotiated," he explained.

In addition to being projected as an industrial center, continued Djufrie, Tanah Kuning-Mangkupadi village has also developed as one of the tourist destinations and public spaces for the people of Kaltara. This makes mobility to the area even higher, both for industrial, economic, and recreational purposes.

Not only logistics vehicles or companies that pass through these routes. People from various regions also come to Tanah Kuning for travel and activities. With damaged road conditions, of course their safety and comfort are very disturbed," said Djufrie.

Djufrie is administratively aware that Jalan Tanah Kuning is under the authority of the Bulungan Regency Government (Pemkab). However, he emphasized that big projects such as KIHI need cross-government support, including the central government, especially in terms of funding for the development of supporting infrastructure.

"We hope that there will be a central intervention through the state budget with a scheme that is in accordance with regulations, so that the acceleration of road improvement can really be realized. Without central support, this acceleration will be very difficult to do," said Djufrie.

"We don't want industrial estate development to run, but access roads are lagging behind. This will create inequality and ultimately hinder Kaltara's economic acceleration," he continued.

Djufrie is optimistic that if road repairs can be carried out in the near future, then Tanah Kuning can develop into an area that not only functions as a center for green industry, but also becomes a viable, safe and comfortable public space for the community.

"This is not just a matter of roads, but about the future of the economy and the quality of public services for the people of Kaltara," he concluded.
