Udo Kier, Collaborator Actor Madonna And Andy Warhol Dies

JAKARTA - Udo Kier, a German actor known for several Hollywood films, died at the age of 81. This sad news was conveyed by his partner, Dilbert McBride.

Quoting Variety, Kier died on Sunday, November 23 at a hospital in Palm Springs. His partner did not reveal the cause of the actor's death.

The name Udo Kier at first glance does not shine globally, but his name has been poor across for 60 years with the collaboration of various directors.

His name became known when he played Mark of the Devil in 1970. His name became increasingly popular after he starred in a film directed by artist Andy Warhol in the same era.

Then he also starred in Lars von Tier's Medea series before starring in several films over the past few years.

In 1991, he starred in a Hollywood film, My Own Private Idaho where he co-starred with Keanu Reeves and River Phoenix. Thanks to the film, he began starring in several other American films such as Ace Ventura and Armageddon.

Udo Kier has also starred in Madonna's music video and collaboration in his book Sex. In addition, he starred in Korn and Eve.

His last role was the film The Secret Agent where he collided with Wagner Moura. The film also received a positive response internationally at various festivals.

The Secret Agent also serves as Brazil's representative for the Academy Awards in 2026.
