Karawang DPRD Member Arguing With Residents, BK Processes Alleged Violation Of The Code Of Ethics
KARAWANG - The Honorary Board of the Regional House of Representatives of Karawang Regency, West Java, processed local DPRD members from the PKS faction Tatang Taufik regarding alleged ethical violations reported by the public.
The chairman of the Honorary Board of the Karawang DPRD, Rosmilah, said that his party had previously received three reporters who had previously submitted complaints through the Chairman of the DPRD.
This is related to the circulation of videos that recorded the action of Tatang Taufik with a number of residents on the streets.
"Today, the Honorary Board has started the initial verification process against a complaint directed at a member of the council, namely Tatang Taufik from PKS," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 24.
His party verified the information from the reporting party. After this, there are still further stages according to the applicable mechanism.
Not only receiving reports, he said, the Honorary Board of the Karawang DPRD also went directly to the field. One of the points visited was Joko's residence, a community leader whose video had gone viral when he was involved in a dialogue with a member of the council.
From that visit, the Honorary Board of the Karawang DPRD actually found a situation much more shady than what was displayed in cyberspace.
"Pak Joko received us well and emphasized that there were no personal problems. He stated that everything was fine," he said.

The issue of anger that was previously widely reported, according to the results of the Honorary Board's clarification, was triggered by a simple problem, namely the existence of vehicles that parked carelessly and were considered to be disrupting traffic around the company area.
"This stems from complaints from the public regarding vehicles blocking the main road to the company. That's all," he said.
Although the public has highlighted this case with various speculations, Rosmilah emphasized that the Honorary Board is still in the early stages of the process. There is no conclusion, let alone ethical decisions.
"We can't talk any further. Everything is still in the verification process," he said.
