Salesforce: 95% Technical Leaders Value Data Strategy Must Be Overhauled For The Success Of AI

JAKARTA - The latest Salesforce report entitled State of Data and Analytics, revealed that the gap between business data needs and the reality of their data is increasingly becoming a problem in the current era of AI's agency.

Although business leaders are enthusiastic about using AI to gain insight and increase productivity, stakeholders on the company's technical side feel that there is urgency in implementing a new approach to data and analytics.

Of the 8,000 leaders of 200 companies in Indonesia interviewed, 95% of the company's leaders in the field of data and analytics stated the need to make a total overhaul of the data strategies they implemented before they were able to successfully complete the implementation of AI strategies.

But unfortunately, 71% of the leaders admitted that they were facing demands on how data could be used more to generate value for the company.

"With 95 percent of technical leaders acknowledging the need to overhaul their data strategy, success in implementing AI will rely heavily on how well the organization modernizes and unites their data foundations," said Gavin Barfield, Vice President and CTO, Solutions, ASEAN, Salesforce.

In order to eliminate this gap, Gavin suggested that the company's technical leaders focus more on fundamental matters, namely how to present data on time and rich in context, stronger data governance, and the development of a zero copy architecture.

In addition, on the way to the realization of a large concept of agenttic enterprises, they also need to adopt the latest solutions, such as agentic analytics, which brings reliable insight directly into the workflow.

"For how to really get the maximum value and context of the AI model, you have to fix your data. You need to move on to a more integrated solution. You have to set the right priorities. You have to manage properly," concluded Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff.
