JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia will withdraw the quartz sand mining permit to return to the central government.
Not without reason, Bahlil found that there was a lot of abuse of quartz sand permits when he visited Bangka Belitung Province with Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and Attorney General ST Burhanuddin.

"After this quartz, we have transferred the permits to the regions, but with this incident, I immediately went home to make a regulation so that the quartz sand permit is withdrawn to the center so that it is orderly," said Bahlil in his Instagram account @bahlillahadalia, quoted Monday, November 24.
This policy of withdrawing permits to the center, said Bahlil, is a step by the government to ensure that resource management takes place in accordance with applicable regulations.
Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin explained, so far the Forest Area Control Team has continued operations to crack down on illegal mining.
The ilegl mining control activity is a realization of the daeri for the issuance of Presidential Regulation Number 5 of 2025.
"The Forest Area Control Team (PKH) after obtaining Presidential Decree number 5 of 2025 continues its activities and today we find several illegal activities that lead to violations," explained Sjafrie.

To note, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is part of the integral of the PKH Halilintar Task Force.
