Preparations For Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua Handled By Oleksandr Usyk Coach Team

JAKARTA The former two-time heavyweight world champion, Anthony Joshua, made serious preparations for the match against Jake Paul. The fight is scheduled to be held in Miami, Florida, USA on 19 December.

Even though they will face opponents who are said to be incomparable, Joshua doesn't seem to want to be careless. The British boxer had suffered a bitter defeat when his preparations were less serious, ahead of the match against an opponent who was deemed incomparable.

Joshua lost to TKO round 7 to Andy Ruiz Jr in the title fight in New York on June 1, 2019, and knockout round 5 to Daniel Dubois in London on September 21, 2024. In those two matches, Joshua was far ahead of the opponent. However, the results in the ring were much different. Two other defeats suffered from Oleksandr Usyk through numbers.

Anthony will probably do something different in the match later, compared to the one before. He's already trained with Oleksandr Usyk's coaching team. We'll see the results later. He's coming back, or is it over? " said the promoter, Eddie Hearn as quoted by The Sun.

Joshua (36 years) has not been in the ring for 15 months, since being defeated by Dubois. After that defeat, he separated from coach Ben Davidson.

Since becoming a professional boxer in 2013 after winning a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics, Anthony Joshua has played 32 fights. A total of 28 matches he won, with 25 KO/TKO wins. The rest, he lost four times.
