Max Verstappen Wins F1 GP Las Vegas, Paste Lando Norris In The Standings

JAKARTA - Red Bull's Max Verstappen won the Las Vegas2025 Grand Prix at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit, United States, Sunday WIB, as well as narrowing the difference in points from the leader of the 2025 Formula 1 standings, Lando Norris (McLaren).

Quoted from the Formula 1 page on Sunday, Norris is at the top of the standings with 408 points. The second position is occupied by Oscar Piastri (McLaren) with 378 points, and Verstappen in third place with 366 points.

With this result, Norris's difference in points at the top of the standings is now only 42 points, while Piastri is 30 points behind his teammates.

Verstappen appeared dominant in the 50 lap race after overtaking Norris at the first corner, taking advantage of the McLaren driver's error that went wide after the start.

Norris then dropped to third before returning past George Russell in the final laps, but was unable to catch Verstappen and finish almost 21 seconds behind.

Russell maintains third place despite the problem of driving his Mercedes.

His teammate, Kimi Antonelli, who started from 17th, finished fourth on the track, but fell to fifth due to a five-second penalty due to a false start.

The penalty lifts Oscar Piastri to fourth. The Australian driver came back after dropping to seventh as a result of the incident with Liam Lawson at the first corner.

Here are the results of the 2025 GP Las Vegas race.

Failed to finish:

Alexander Albon (Williams)

Gabriel Bortoleto (Kick Sauber)

Lance Stroll (Aston Martin)
