KAI Provides 1.5 Million Discount Quota 30 Percent For The Nataru Period, Check Routes

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI fully supports government policies by implementing a 30 percent discount for commercial economy class train trips during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year (Nataru) holidays. The quota provided reaches 1.5 million.

President Director of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), Bobby Rasyidin said that as the implementation of government assignments, KAI provides a discount of 30 percent for 156 Regular Trains and 26 Additional Trains.

"The total quota we provide reaches 1,509,080 customers, valid for departures from December 22, 2025 to January 10, 2026," Bobby said in an official statement, Sunday, November 23.

Bobby said, this discount program is designed to help people plan year-end travel more easily, as well as encourage increased mobility which has a direct impact on the tourism sector and the regional economy.

"KAI ensures that all services remain excellent through the readiness of coordinated facilities, infrastructure, and security. We want the public to be able to celebrate holidays, travel, or visit families safely and comfortably," said Bobby.

Meanwhile, KAI's VP of Public Relations, Anne Purba, said that tickets at discount rates can be purchased through all sales channels from November 21, 2025 to January 10, 2026, for the travel period from December 22, 2025 to January 10, 2026.

This discount does not apply to special rates and cannot be combined with reductions or other discounts. However, discount tickets can still be canceled and scheduled according to applicable regulations," he said.

Furthermore, Anne also conveyed that ticket sales for the Nataru Transport period, based on observations on Sunday, November 23, 2025 for the period 18 December 2025 to 4 January 2026, had sold 533,411 passengers, or about 19 percent of the total 2,767,688 seats provided.

"The discount quota is still available. We urge the public to immediately make an early booking in order to get the best price and in accordance with the desired travel plan. With careful planning, the Nataru holiday can run more smoothly and comfortably," said Anne.
