Facebook Releases Call-name Feature In Group To Maintain User Privacy
JAKARTA - Facebook has officially introduced a nickname feature (nickname participation) for group users, which provides new options for members to interact without displaying their main profile name and photo.
In its official announcement, Meta said that it allows users to post, comment, and respond within the group using customizable nicknames.
With the nickname, the user's main identity will be hidden from other members, but still visible to the admin, moderator, and Facebook's system in order to maintain security.
"With a nickname, you can hide your main profile name and profile photo related to your posts, comments, or responses from other members," the tech giant wrote.
Calls can be specified or suggested to you if you have never used them. You can use the nickname or suggested, or you can update the nickname as you wish.
