Komdigi Collaborates With 35 Partners To Strengthen Digital Literacy In Indonesia
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, through the Directorate of the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 35 strategic partners to strengthen digital literacy in Indonesia.
In collaboration with several government agencies, companies, and organizations, this agreement is also expected to create digital talents in the country, considering the challenge of reaching 220 million internet users in Indonesia cannot be faced by the government itself.
"So we must have strategic partners who do have constituents, friends, associations, liaisons that can extend our hand to then carry out digital generations," said Minister of Trade Meutya Hafid, quoted on Sunday, November 23.
The signing of the MoU was motivated by the many security issues that occurred on the internet, especially regarding children and women.
Therefore, the Minister of Trade, Meutya, emphasized that the issue of security on the internet must be a special concern and a shared responsibility for all stakeholders.
"Yesterday, in the last few cases, we saw that there were concerns about the internet, violence, as well as online gambling, one of which became the president's concern. Beyond of course there are also many good ones. So how do we take the positive ones and keep them away and this negative one needs collaboration," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) Komdigi Bonifasius Wahyu Pudjianto added that the signing of a memorandum of understanding with 35 strategic partners was the initial stage of digital literacy programs to be implemented.
