The Ministry Of Social Affairs Helps Rehabilitate The Perpetrators Of The Burst Of SMAN 72 Jakarta

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) has prepared assistance for children in conflict with the law with the initials F, the perpetrator of the explosion at the SMA Negeri 72 Kelapa Gading Mosque, North Jakarta.

The Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos), Saifullah Yusuf, who is familiarly called Gus Ipul, in Tangerang, said Saturday that this form of assistance was provided through social rehabilitation services and trauma healing so that the recovery process runs optimally.

"One of the roles of the Ministry of Social Affairs may be during the rehabilitation period. So, during the rehabilitation period, we will try to provide assistance in collaboration with the Police," he said.

He said the rehabilitation process for children in conflict with the law was carried out in collaboration with related institutions that were accustomed to deradicalizing, as well as psychosocial services that would be provided to the suspected child in conflict with the law.

"But, the task of the Ministry of Social Affairs, we help to carry out a kind of rehabilitation process," he said.

Gus Ipul added that regarding the formation of a special officer unit (Satgas) so that this does not happen again in the future, his party is waiting for directions from President Prabowo Subianto.

He said that currently the Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs (Kemenko Polkam) and other ministries had been given the President's job to deal with prevention again.

"Basically we know that the President has serious attention to yesterday's incident, and has assigned a number of ministers to take steps in the future to prevent, mitigate various things that we know can have a negative impact on students," he said.

Previously, on November 7, 2025, there was an explosion in the SMAN 72 Jakarta environment in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, precisely in the Marine Regional Command (Kodamar) complex of the Indonesian Navy (AL).

The explosion occurred while students and teachers were praying Friday at the mosque at the school, where the first explosion was heard while the sermon was in progress, followed by a second explosion which allegedly came from different directions.

With this incident, the victims suffered various injuries, including burns and wounds from debris, as well as sparking panic from school residents and the surrounding community.
