Joshua Promises To Break Jake Paul's Face In The 19 December Match
JAKARTA No one thought that this fight would happen until former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua was willing to fight Jake Paul.
This meeting will be an eight-round heavyweight battle that Netflix will broadcast live on December 19 at the Kaseya Center, Miami, United States.
Paul, best known for his ability to build hype and brave challenges, admits that Joshua is one of the best heavyweight boxers ever. However, Paul holds on to belief and game plans that focus on speed, angle, and discipline.
"I like to challenge myself. I like to face the biggest, the best. I tell anyone, anytime, anywhere," Paul added, quoted by Reuters, during their first press conference in Miami, Saturday, November 22.
"No one ever thought this would be possible, that we would be here when I first started boxing, and no one thought I would win," Paul added.
Although the body size gap is very striking Paul (185 cm) looks dwarf in front of Joshua (198 cm), Paul's courage sounds the most boastful.
"I only had to avoid that one shot in eight rounds, and I'm sure I can do that," said Paul, whose record is 12--1 with 7 KOs.
"I wanted him to cut me. I wanted him to break my face, but guess what? He had to kill me to stop me, and I'm ready to die. Seriously. Ready to die in the ring to win this fight," he said excitedly.

On the other hand, Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) seemed to enjoy the spotlight and risks that accompany this fight, which unites Paul's massive marketing with his elite boxing skills.
"It's big. It's colossal. It's big news. We put the markerability together with the affordability," said Joshua. "To be honest, I'm going to break his face, I'm going to break his body, I'm going to step on him," said Joshua.
