LAMPUNG BANDAR - Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia has confirmed that it will open the Lampung Cultural Center as a new Technical Implementation Unit (UPT). This assurance was conveyed by the Minister of Culture Fadli Zon when inspecting the former BRIN office building in the Rajabasa area which is projected to be the office of the hall, Friday, November 21.
Fadli Zon said Lampung was chosen because it has a strong and diverse cultural heritage, both in the form of physical sites and intangible traditions. We will establish a cultural hall in Lampung because the cultural heritage is extraordinary. This hall is an extension in the promotion of culture," he said.
He emphasized that the existence of this UPT will accelerate the cultural protection and development program in the province nicknamed Sai Bumi Ruwa Jurai. The Lampung Cultural Center will also be strengthened as a node for community networks and the socialization center of Dana Indonesiana for local cultural actors.

During the visit, Fadli Zon was accompanied by Deputy Governor of Lampung Jihan Nurlela, Director General of Cultural Protection Restu Gunawan, and the relevant officials. They assess that the existence of this new office will facilitate the coordination of cultural programs, ranging from documentation, education, to the development of the Lampung cultural ecosystem.
The Lampung Cultural Center is projected to become an integrated service center that is closer, responsive, and relevant to the community. Fadli called this step a strategic strengthening to preserve and advance Lampung's cultural heritage in a sustainable manner.
