Deputy Governor Of Kaltara Directly Checks The Construction Of School Facilities In Sembakung Atulai
NUNUKAN Deputy Governor of North Kalimantan (Kaltara), Ingkong Ala, carried out monitoring and evaluation (monev) of development activities in border areas. One of them is to directly review the condition of educational infrastructure at SMK Negeri 1 Sembakung Atulai, Nunukan Regency.
This visit was focused on evaluating the construction of a number of facilities being worked on, including the Agribusiness Practice Room for Food Crops and Horticulture (ATPH), IPA Laboratory, and school toilets.
Deputy Governor Ingkong emphasized that the quality of educational facilities in border areas still requires serious attention. In particular, the availability of adequate facilities that determine the effectiveness of the learning process.
Remote areas such as Sembakung Atulai must get proper educational facilities. This is not a matter of projects, but a matter of ensuring the learning process runs effectively," said Ingkong, Friday, November 21.
"The provincial government (Pemprov) continues to strive to ensure that educational facilities throughout the Kaltara region, including in remote areas such as Sembakung Atulai, can support teaching and learning activities well," he continued.
In addition, the Deputy Governor also highlighted the importance of maintaining the facilities that had been built. According to him, buildings that are completed but not treated will cause problems again in the future.
"We want to ensure that development investment in the field of education really provides tangible benefits for improving the quality of North Kalimantan's human resources in the future," he explained.
In addition to evaluating development, Ingkong Ala also reviewed the practice of making eucalyptus oil by students. Skill-based activities like this are relevant to the need for vocational education, especially utilizing local natural potential.
"I am very proud to see the progress of education in this school that takes advantage of the natural potential around it, this kind of practice needs to be strengthened because it provides direct experience that can be an added value for students when entering the world of work," he said.
