The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Answers The AGO's Rebuttal On The Delegation Of The Petral Case: We Have Coordinated

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confirmed that there has been coordination with the Attorney General's Office regarding the delegation of allegations of corruption in the management of crude oil and refinery products at Pertamina Energy Trading Limited (Petral) or Pertamina Energy Service Pte. Ltd. (PES).

This was conveyed by the KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo in response to the AGO's statement which denied that Petral's case had been transferred to his institution. He said this delegation was still in process so all parties were asked to be patient.

"Regarding this case, the KPK and the Prosecutor's Office have coordinated. So indeed, we will wait together later because this is still going on together, yes, we will wait for the transfer process," Budi told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, November 21.

Budi said this coordination is important because the results of the investigation at the AGO could help the KPK. "This means that maybe later there will be additional evidence, facts or other information that will actually support the investigation process carried out by the KPK," he said.

"Because indeed in the investigation of this case the KPK has issued an investigation warrant or sprindik on October 17, 2025," he continued.

Previously, KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto said the Attorney General's Office had transferred the case of corruption in the procurement of crude oil by Pertamina Energy Trading Ltd. (Petral) or PT Pertamina Energy Services Pte. Ltd (PES) to his institution.

He said this process occurred because the Adhyaksa Corps knew that the KPK had issued a new investigation warrant (sprindik) in October. However, no suspects have yet been named.

"Karena tahu bahwa KPK sudah menerbitkan surat perintah penyidikan, sudah melakukan pemeriksaan-pemeriksaan maka penanganannya dari Kejaksaan dilimpahkan," kata Setyo kepada wartawan di Bogor, Jawa Barat, Selasa, 18 November.
