Indosat Holds AI Day, Accelerates AI Learning Transformation On Campus

JAKARTA - Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison through Indosat Business, supported by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek), presents Indonesia AI Day for Higher Education.

Carrying the theme 'Experience the Shift: From Traditional to Tech-Driven Education', this forum is a forum for collaboration between Indosat and well-known Indonesian campuses, global campuses, and technology players, to accelerate digital transformation in the education sector.

This initiative departs from the need to strengthen digital capacity in the education sector, as highlighted in the 2025 Empowering Indonesia Report.

Where the report states that there are more than 11 million college graduates by 2024, less than 25% from AI or STEM related fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), while the majority are still focused on humanities and businesses (39%), medicine (155%) and engineering (15%).

This condition confirms the need for acceleration in curriculum, research, and technology-based expertise development so that Indonesia is ready to face the AI-based economic era.

"Through this initiative, Indosat wants to show that technology can become a bridge to learning without limits, opening up opportunities for every young generation of Indonesia to develop in the artificial intelligence era," said Muhammad Buldansyah, Director & Chief Business Officer of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison.

Indonesia AI Day for Higher Education presents a digital approach initiative designed to accelerate the transformation of education.

The agenda also highlights the implementation of AI to improve the quality of learning, research, and development of digital talent in Indonesia.

"Collaboration with industries such as Indosat demonstrates the government's commitment to accelerate the use of technology that is able to open innovation spaces for both academics and students," added Fauzan Adziman, Director General of Research and Development of the Ministry of Education and Technology.

This step is also in line with Indosat's great goal in empowering Indonesia through the development of digital talent and accelerating the adoption of AI-based technology across sectors, including the education sector towards Indonesia Gold 2045.
