"So, we will do these two urban villages for Ciliwung normalization," he continued.
On that occasion, Pramono also emphasized that the normalization of Ciliwung is one of the key efforts to reduce the risk of flooding, especially entering the peak of the rainy season which is predicted to occur until February 2026.
Not only Ciliwung, the DKI Provincial Government will also clean and normalize the 1.3 kilometer Krukut River to overcome flooding in the Kemang area and its surroundings.

"At the same time, we will also normalize Krukut River because these two rivers have contributed to congestion in Jakarta," he said.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo also appreciated Pramono's steps which were considered proactive in handling rivers in the capital city. According to him, the success of normalization will be greatly determined by regional support in land supply.
"What the Governor has done is very, very good. If we need support from us, God willing, we will fully support it," said Dody.
