BGN Responds To Women's 41 MBG Kitchen Deputy DPRD South Sulawesi: Can It Stop?

Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Nanik S. Deyang emphasized that he would not stop the operation of 41 Free Nutrition Food (MBG) kitchens owned by Yasika Aulia Ramdhani, daughter of Deputy Chairperson of the South Sulawesi DPRD (Sulsel) Yasir Machmud.

"Yes, no, it's already running, is it stopped? How will the children receive the benefits?" said NanikS Deyang at the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, Thursday, November 20, as reported by ANTARA.

Nanik explained that the kitchens are still running properly, because they have been operating and serving beneficiaries. He said BGN would evaluate the performance of the kitchens.

"We will evaluate it, yes. If for example the kitchen goes well, right. That was the previous regulation, in the future we will enforce it again," said Nanik S Deyang.

In the process of registering the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG), it is not possible for BGN to know the identity of the owner in detail because the submission is made through various foundations.

"So, you know later people will say, 'oh, it's got this, it's got that,' that's it, right? Okay. It's up to him in this, the most important thing is that he can provide benefits for children in Makassar, right?" said NanikS Deyang.

Nanik also responded to questions about the possible use of different foundation names by owners to apply for more than the maximum number of allowed SPPGs.

He said the system should limit only 10 units, but the possibility of submissions is made under other names so that it can exceed those limits.

"Because in the system, if there are 10, it will be closed immediately. It means that if he can do more, it means he uses another name," he said.

Nanik explained that at the beginning of the implementation of the MBG program, the government encouraged the participation of foundations engaged in education and social affairs.

However, due to the high demand for the acceleration of the establishment of the SPPG, those who have the ability to build a kitchen are given room to participate.

"From the start, we saw that Pak Prabowo wanted to actually join, there were many foundations that were engaged in education and social affairs, meaning in the past the foundation. But then they were also being chased, 'oh, we have to target,' the children asked, 'oh, we haven't got MBG yet," said NanikS Deyang.

"Finally, okay, how to speed up the formation of the SPPG, yes, we ask who can afford to be able to build the kitchen, that's it. Yes, we'll see," he added.

Previously, allegations of the monopoly practice of establishing the SPPG to serve the MBG Program that occurred in South Sulawesi drew criticism and scathing criticism from various circles.

This follows the viral assumption of controlling the establishment of the SPPG by Yasika Aulia Ramdhani, the son of the Deputy Chairperson of the South Sulawesi DPRD, asir Machmud from the Gerinda Party, which has 41 MBG kitchens spread across four regions in the province.
