Protect Operational Infrastructure, GIS Cybersecurity Resilience Wins Main Podium Cyberdrill Exercise 2025 Cyber-Industrial Security Competition

JAKARTA - PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) through the SIG CSIRT Team (Computer Security Incident Response Team) won 1st place in a cybersecurity simulation competition entitled Industrial Cyberdrill Exercise (ICE 4.0) organized by the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN).

The award trophy was handed over by the Deputy for Cybersecurity and Crypto for the BSSN Economy, Slamet Aji Pamungkas to Group Head Of Technology, Digitalization & Process Excellence SIG, Anindio Daneswara at the Cybersecurity Top Level Forum (TLP 5.0) Industrial event which is part of a series of National Cybersecurity Connect 2025 activities at the Bidakara Hotel, Jakarta, at the end of October 2025.

GIS Deputy President Director Andriano Hosny Panangian said cybersecurity is a pillar of GIS's digital transformation to realize reliable technology infrastructure in supporting the smooth operation of the Company's business. The success of the SIG CSIRT Team to win 1st in ICE 4.0 is proof of GIS's seriousness in maintaining cybersecurity.

"SIG gives appreciation to the SIG CSIRT Team for winning 1st place in the ICE 4.0 competition organized by BSSN. This achievement is a motivation for all GIS personnel to jointly improve the security of the Company's digital technology infrastructure," said Andriano Hosny Panangian.

ICE 4.0 is a competition for cyber incident response in the industrial sector that aims to increase the capacity of the Organization's CSIRT in the industrial sector in the face of cyber attacks. The SIG CSIRT team won 1st place after setting aside 43 organizational CSIRT teams in the industrial sector that had been registered with BSSN.

The competition itself is packaged in a form of gaming, in which each team has to go through four rounds which include simulations of attacks to test offensive (exploitation and penetration) capabilities; defense simulations and responses to incidents (forensic analysis, log, and threat detection); real-time attack and defense simulations; as well as a peak phase demanding speed and system resilience in maintaining control of attacks.

Andriano Hosny Panangian added that apart from having a cybersecurity GIS work unit, the GIS has also officially formed a SIG CSIRT Team in January 2024 to mitigate cybersecurity incidents swiftly within the GIS Group. The formation of the SIG CSIRT Team is a strategic step in increasing cyber security and protecting the Company's vital information infrastructure.

"SIG also runs the GIS Agent of Security Education, Training and Awareness (SETA) program to provide periodic socialization to all employees about the importance of cybersecurity. With collaboration and synergy from all company personnel, we believe we can build reliable digital technology in order to continue the company's digital transformation journey," said Andriano Hosny Panangian.
