Deputy Head Of BGN Said About The Lack Of MBG Nutritionists
Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Nanik S. Deyang stated that the potential for malnutrition to support the implementation of the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program can be overcome through cross-party cooperation.
Nanik, after facing President Prabowo at the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, said the issue was not a special discussion in a meeting with the President, but BGN had prepared anticipatory steps to ensure that the nutritional needs could be met.
"We can overcome this, bismillah we can overcome it," he said when asked whether the issue of malnutrition was also discussed in his meeting with the Head of State as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, November 20.
The Association of Indonesian Nutritionists (Persagi), said Nanik, estimates that the number of nutritionists in Indonesia will only be around 16,000 people by the end of this year, and some have worked in various sectors.
Even so, he is optimistic that the need for nutrition workers for MBG can be met. BGN, said Nanik, will cooperate with Persagi to formulate recommendations and open collaboration spaces with various parties, including undergraduate graduates who have related scientific grounds.
"Hopefully we will cooperate with various parties, the most important thing is that undergraduates who are still at their base may, later we will ask," he said.
This effort is expected to strengthen the availability of the necessary nutrition workers in line with the acceleration of the implementation of the MBG program.
"We will cooperate with Persagi so that how to provide this nutritionist," he said.
