Premier League: Final Standings, Record And European Ticket Winners Next Season

JAKARTA - The final week of the 2020-2021 Premier League season is completed on Sunday, May 23, local time. Here are the full results of the Premier League's highest caste, the final standings as well as which clubs get European tickets for next season.

West Ham United is back in European competition again after 15 years. A convincing 3-0 win over Southampton saw David Moyes's side finish sixth in the table with a collection of 65 points.

That means West Ham gets a Europa League group stage ticket next season and for the first time appear in the final round of European competition since they last experienced it in the 2006/07 season.

West Ham also featured in the 2015/16 and 2016/17 Europa Leagues, but in those two seasons they ended up in the qualifying phase without ever taking part in the final.

West Ham's victory broke the hearts of Tottenham Hotspur's players who were able to claim a 4-2 win at home to Leicester City.

Tottenham had to settle for seventh place and only won the conference qualifying playoff, UEFA's third-tier competition that starts rolling next season.

However, at the same time, Tottenham also insisted Leicester should be willing to "only" appear in the Europa League because they finished fifth.

The composition of the top four of the final standings has not changed significantly compared to before the game of the week, but Liverpool and Chelsea ended up swapping places.

Liverpool finished third after a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace at Anfield, overtaking Chelsea who closed out the season with a 1-2 defeat on a visit to Aston Villa's headquarters.

Nevertheless, Liverpool and Chelsea will remain in the Champions League alongside English champions Manchester City and city rivals Manchester United.

City closed out its season with a 5-0 win over Everton at the Etihad before lifting the Premier League trophy in front of 10,000 of its supporters who were allowed into the stadium.

MU, meanwhile, ended the season with a season-high uncazed record after beating Wolverhampton 2-1 at Molineux.

Leeds United's record of 3-1 win over West Bromwich Albion at Elland Road is the highest in Premier League history with 62 goals and the most points scored in the last two decades at 59.

The record-breaking record also made in Newcastle United's 2-0 win at home to Fulham. Joe Willock equaled Alan Shearer's record as the second player to score seven consecutive games, while Fulham became the first team in the Premier League era to fail to reach 10 goals in a home game a season.

At Bramall Lane, Sheffield United's 1-0 win over Burnley saw them escape a poor record of failing to reach 20 goals in a season.

Meanwhile, Arsenal, who closed out the season by beating Brighton &Hove Albion 2-0, failed to finish in the Eurozone. Next season Arsenal for the first time since 1995/96 does not take part in European competitions.
