3 Papuan District Heads Called By KPK Today Regarding Allegations Of Operational Fund Corruption

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled an examination of the district head in Papua as a witness today, November 20.

They will be asked for information regarding allegations of corruption in the management of operational support funds and programs to improve official services for the head and deputy regional head of the Papua Provincial Government.

"The investigation was carried out at the Papua Regional Police," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in his statement, Thursday, November 20.

There were three district heads who were asked to attend by investigators. They are West Sentani District Head Yance Samonsabra, Sentani District Head Margaretha Debby, and East Sentani District Head Eslie Suangbubaro.

Then investigators also scheduled a summons to the Relationship Manager of the Credit Remedial Bank Papua, Orpa Novita Iriany Sawy; Functional Procurement at the Procurement Bureau of Goods and Services of the Papua Province Secretariat Gangsar Cahyono; and an entrepreneur named Arson Wanimbo.

In addition, Assistant Manager for Monitoring and Reporting was also summoned, Division of Compliance with Papua Regional Development Bank, Wildan Yusuf and Section for Determination of Rights and Registration of BPN Jayapura City Raymond Yosef Silow.

Budi has not detailed the examination material that will be investigated by investigators. He only said that these witnesses were suspected of knowing the fraudulent practices that were being investigated.

"The KPK has scheduled the examination of witnesses for alleged corruption related to the management of the Operational Support Fund and the Program for the Improvement of Official Services for Regional Heads and Deputy Regional Heads of the Papua Provincial Government," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK investigated allegations of corruption in the abuse of authority related to the Operational Supporting Fund and Program for the Improvement of Official Services for Regional Heads and Deputy Regional Heads of the Papua Provincial Government. State losses due to this reckless practice are said to have reached Rp1.2 trillion.

There is already one suspect named by the anti-corruption commission. He is DE who is the Treasurer of the Expenditure of the Regional Head of Papua Province.
