HGI Ultah Cup 2025 In Makassar Successfully Attracts Hundreds Of Participants
MAKASSAR Higgs Games Island (HGI) successfully held the 2025 HGI Ultah Cup at The Rinra Hotel Makassar on November 8, 2025. This event became the first digital domino tournament in Indonesian history, as well as attracted hundreds of participants from various regions. This activity received full support from the Indonesian Domino Sports Association (PORDI) and the Makassar City Government.
The tournament is not only part of HGI's 7th anniversary celebration, but also marks an important milestone in efforts to popularize dominoes as modern and inclusive digital strategy sport.
With the digital game system developed by HGI itself, the participants competed in a professional and fair environment, as well as fostered the spirit of sportsmanship. Various entertainment games and attractive prizes also enlivened the event, making the momentum of HGI's birthday feel lively.
HGI representative, Finn, called this tournament a form of the company's commitment to advancing digital dominoes in Indonesia.
"Through the HGI Ultah Cup, this tournament is not only a celebration of innovation, but also a strong impetus for HGI to help domino develop as an intellectual sport in Indonesia," he said.
The General Chairperson of PORDI, Andi Jamaro Dung, also expressed his appreciation for the digital platform presented by HGI.
"We fully support HGI's efforts to encourage the digitization of domino games in Indonesia. This tournament is in line with the vision of PORDI, namely developing dominoes into strategic sports that are not only entertaining, but also able to improve the ability to think, flexibility, and the spirit of sportsmanship," said Andi Jamaro.

In addition to the competitive aspect, this event also reaffirms the social value and education of domino games as a positive strategic game. The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) previously stated that domino games are allowed as long as they do not contain gambling elements (maysir) and do not interfere with religious obligations. This view is a moral basis for PORTI and HGI in developing digital dominoes in the country.
Carrying the spirit of 'Digital Domino, From Indonesia to the World', HGI is determined to make the HGI Ultah Cup an annual national-scale agenda. In the future, HGI plans to present a carnival-themed competition to expand participation, strengthen community solidarity, and bring Indonesian dominoes to the international stage.
