This UK School Bans Playing KPop Demon Hunters, Why?

JAKARTA - A school in the UK announced a ban on their students from singing songs from the film KPop Demon Hunters. This notification was conveyed to parents of the Liliput Church of England Infant School school in Poole, Dorset.

Launching People, the school stated that they were uncomfortable with using monsters or demons as a reference in the film.

Elements of monsters are often against God and goodness, but the school considers these songs to perpetuate the relationship between these monsters.

While we respect your choice of content for children at home, we also want to be confident in the school community. For some Christians, references to monsters can feel uncomfortable because they are related to God, "so is one of the announcements at school.

"School students ask students not to sing songs (KPop Demon Hunters) at school to respect those who think the song is not in line with their faith," said Lloyd Allington as one of the teachers from the school.

We don't ask parents to tell their children there's something wrong with enjoying the film or the song if it's in line with your trust. Our role is only to help children understand that there are some friends who have different faiths and beliefs and how we can respect them," said Allington again.

KPop Demon Hunters is one of the most successful films to be shown on Netflix. This film tells the adventures of the HUNTR/X group to fight the Gurima monster by using their singing skills.

In addition to the film, the songs from the film KPop Demon Hunters have also won public attention.
