Present At The 2025 Orange Forum, IIF Encourages Infrastructure Development Through The Issuance Of Sustainable Bonds

JAKARTA - PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF) participated in the Orange Forum 2025 organized by the Impact Investment Exchange in collaboration with the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). This forum brings together 300 institutional investors, policy makers, and civil society leaders to establish a path to improve the Orange Capital solution globally.

In the Financing the Real Economy Through Inclusive Climate-Smart Infrastructure forum, Eri Wibowo as Chief Financial Officer IIF said that as a catalyst for sustainable infrastructure development, IIF has built a strong track record in the issuance of sustainable bonds.

One of the important milestones in the IIF journey is the issuance of the 2023 Green Perpetual Notes worth IDR 335.19 billion, which was later recorded on the Indonesia Stock Exchange on the early January 2024. This instrument is part of the IIF strategy to strengthen the capital structure while continuing to channel funds to environmentally friendly projects based on the principles of Environmentally Introspective Business Activities (KUBL)," said Eri, in his statement, Wednesday, November 19.

For information, in January 2021, IIF issued sustainable bonds aimed at financing and refinancing projects related to Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Pollution Prevention and Control, Environmentally Friendly Transportation, Sustainable Waste Water and Water Management, Climate Change Adaptation, Green Building, Affordable Basic Infrastructure, Access to Essential Services, Affordable Housing, and Sustainable Food Security and Food Systems.

Most recently in November 2025, IIF has successfully completed the 2023 Sustainable Public Offering (PUB) program with bonds issuance of IDR 1.5 trillion. This issuance received good reception, as reflected in the oversubscription level more than 6 times.

Eri also conveyed a number of challenges that are still being faced in encouraging sustainable financing market growth in Indonesia, including green infrastructure projects in Indonesia which are still limited to the absence of special incentives that can be directly felt by the issuer of thematic bonds in Indonesia.

Active participation in international forums such as the 2025 Orange Bond Forum further strengthens the position of IIF as an important player in the sustainable financing ecosystem.
