The New Ministry Of Transportation's Budget Absorbed 65.5 Percent In November 2025

Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi revealed that the realization of the budget in his ministry only reached 65.5 percent or equivalent to Rp. 19.31 percent of the total budget allocation in 2025.

This was conveyed by Dudy in a Working Meeting with Commission V of the DPR. Dudy also ensured that his party would maximize the absorption of the Ministry of Transportation's budget for the 2025 fiscal year.

"As of November 2025, the Ministry of Transportation's budget absorption has reached IDR 19.31 trillion, equivalent to 65.5 percent of the total budget for 2025. We will continue to maximize budget absorption until the end of this year," said Dudy in an official statement, Wednesday, November 19.

In detail, the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Sea Transportation with absorption of IDR 7.2 trillion, or 70 percent of the total ceiling of IDR 10.3 trillion in 2025.

Next, is the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of IDR 3.8 trillion or 74.75 percent of the total ceiling of IDR 5.1 trillion.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Transportation will maximize budget absorption at the Directorate General of Railways which is still IDR 2.96 trillion or 44.04 percent of the total budget of IDR 6.7 trillion. Then, the Directorate General of Land Transportation which is still IDR 2.5 trillion or 58.33 percent of the ceiling of IDR 4.3 trillion.

Dudy said, this a little late absorption was triggered by several factors. One of them is the adjustment of the 2025 budget policy which uses an opening and closing scheme, so internal adjustments are needed.

In addition, continued Dudy, there are still several budgets that in their absorption still need coordination with related parties so that this also slows down a bit.

"We hope that coordination will run smoothly so that by the end of this year, we can absorb the budget quickly. Hopefully what happens in 2025 can be a reference in the implementation of the 2026 budget," he said.

In addition to the 2025 budget evaluation, said Dudy, the meeting was also discussed regarding the Ministry of Transportation's budget for 2026.

The budget allocation for the Ministry of Transportation for FY 2026 is set at IDR 28.48 trillion.

Of this budget, 59.2 percent or Rp. 16.8 trillion will be used for connectivity infrastructure.

"Fulfilling transportation facilities and infrastructure to support safety and security, as well as increasing connectivity will remain the priority of the Ministry of Transportation in 2026," said Dudy.
