Israeli Air Attack On Lebanon Kills 1 Person, Dozens Injured

JAKARTA - Israeli airstrikes on cars in southern Lebanon killed one person and injured 11 people, including students on nearby buses.

The attack on Tiri village comes hours after an Israeli drone strike at the Palestinian refugee camp Ein el-Hilweh in southern Lebanon that killed 13 people and injured several others.

Tuesday night's attack was the deadliest among a number of Israeli attacks since the ceasefire in the Israeli-Hezbollah war a year ago.

The government's National News Agency said the school bus carrying students happened to pass near the car that Israel attacked on Wednesday, November 19, morning.

The Associated Press, bus driver, and several students were injured, according to the report. The identity of the person killed in the car is not yet known. The Israeli military did not comment on Wednesday.

In the refugee camp Ein El-Hilweh, just outside the city oftenish port, life seemed normal on Wednesday, but Lebanese authorities banned journalists from entering.

At the scene, paramedics searched for the remains of the victim around a blood-covered wall. Several cars were burned and broken glass and debris scattered on the ground.
