46 People Positive Covid-19, Griya Melati Cluster Bogor City Declared KLB

BOGOR - Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto stated that the COVID-19 cluster in Griya Melati Housing Bogor City is an extraordinary event (KLB) so that the housing is isolated and the activities of its citizens are limited.

"The spread of COVID-19 in this housing estate is very fast. In just nine days, 46 people have been exposed to COVID-19," Bima Arya said while reviewing the Housing Griya Melati Bogor City quoted by Antara, Sunday, May 23.

According to Bima Arya, all residential residents exposed to COVID-19 should be evacuated to the COVID-19 Isolation Center and to the hospital, while residents with negative status to be quarantined in their homes.

"All logistical needs, waste disposal needs, and outdoor activities are assisted by officers from the COVID-19 Handling Task Force," he said.

According to Bima Arya, until Sunday afternoon, as many as 46 residents of Griya Melati were exposed to COVID-19. A search of close contact by the Department of Health is still ongoing. There are still 75 people in close contact who underwent PCR swab tests and are still awaiting the results.

Bima explained that positive patients in this housing should be evacuated and residents' activities restricted, so that COVID-19 does not spread elsewhere. "The guard at the post must ensure that visitors and guests are strictly restricted," he said.

Bima also reminded, that the guard at the post in the housing, namely a joint team from the Bogor City Government, Bogor City Police, and Kodim 0606 Bogor City, is fixed, not alternating, to minimize the transmission of COVID-19.

Previously, the Task Force on Handling COVID-19 Bogor City from elements of bogor city police conducted antigen swab tests to guard officers in psoko in the housing estate, Saturday (22/5).

Head of Resources (Sumda) Bogor City Police, Kompol Wijayanti, said, the implementation of antigen swab tests to members of this post to ensure his condition is healthy or not.

Members of the post in the housing that underwent antigen swab tests there were 63 people, namely from Satpol PP and The Bogor City Government Transportation Office, Police from Bogor City Police, and TNI from Kodim 0606 Bogor City.

According to Wijayanti, the joint team in charge of the post supervises residential residents, especially those exposed to COVOD-19, so it is necessary to conduct antigen swab tests to ensure their health condition.
