BGN: Accounting At SPPG Plays An Important Role In Preventing MBG Corruption

JAKARTA - Deputy for Systems and Governance of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Tigor Pangaribuan said accountants in the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) play an important role in preventing corruption in the Free Nutrition Eating Program (MBG).

"This account answers the question, Is BGN a corruption bancakan (saverage)? Oh, can't!" said Tigor Panggaribuan as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 19.

Tigor explained that each SPPG or kitchen MBG was given a flow of funds of approximately Rp440 million in one request for 10 days serving 3,000 beneficiaries, so that the total money disbursed to Rp900 million per month and could only be disbursed if the head of the SPPG had approved.

"Those who can spend money there we use a virtual account, it must be the deputy foundation who wrote down the request for money and the head of the SPPG agreed. If they have disagreements, the money cannot be issued. So, we have created a system that prevents corruption," said Tigor.

He added that the Rp71 trillion budget for 2025 immediately went to the SPPG-SPPG, so that there were no more loopholes for individuals who abused their positions for fictitious procurement in the MBG Program.

"So none of the echelons have the power to be able to carry out large central procurements, that's not possible, so the matter of corruption has been answered," he explained.

However, Tigor emphasized the importance of supervision from all parties so that there are no nepotism practices, such as entering employees into SPPG only because of the element of closeness, not because of skills.

"But, if there are people who you hear want to put people into the SPPG, then there are people who want to quickly enter their SPPGs, register them, continue because they can't wait, they pay several people, that's another story. It's like someone who wants to cut ranks in one line, continues to pay brokers, now that's an analogy like that, but there is no state money," said Tigor.

In the periodic updated MBG system, the most MBG beneficiaries to date are 1.13 million Early Childhood Education (PAUD) students in 37 thousand groups, followed by Raudhatul Athfal (RA) students or the equivalent of 625 thousand kindergartens in 14 thousand groups throughout Indonesia.

Tigor emphasized that BGN ensures that all SPPGs are optimally monitored in carrying out SOPs and technical instructions (juknis) that have been set through ongoing supervision.
