Eruption Of Mount Semeru, Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport Operates Normally
DENPASAR - Mount Semeru, which is located in Lumajang Regency, East Java, experienced an eruption. The hot clouds issued even reached a sliding distance of 8.5 kilometers.
However, the eruption of Mount Semeru did not have an impact on flights at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali. The flight operations are running normally.
"I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport operations are running normally," said Ahmad Syaugi Shahab as General Manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, in a written statement, Wednesday, November 19.
He emphasized that in connection with the eruption of Mount Semeru, all flight operations at I Gusti Ngurah Fai - Bali Airport were running normally and smoothly.
As of this afternoon, no flights were affected either coming or departing from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport.
"We urge all service users to arrive at the airport early and ensure their flight schedules with the airlines on a regular basis," he said.

Head of the East Java BPBD Emergency and Logistics Division, Satriyo Nurseno, said that Semeru began to experience a significant increase in activity at 14:13 WIB earlier.
"There has been a Hot Cloud Falls (APG) on Mount Semeru, Lumajang Regency. At 16.00 WIB, the increase in the level of activity of Mount Semeru from Level II (Alert) to Level III (Alert)," said Satriyo.
