JAKARTA - BYD reached an important milestone in the UK with sales touching 50 thousand units cumulatively, since its presence from March 15, 2023.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Wednesday, November 19, the world's largest electric vehicle manufacturer takes 977 days to reach this milestone. It should be noted that BYD sales appear to increase by 2025.

From January to October this year, BYD sold 39,103 units around 100 retail stores. This figure represents 78.2 percent of the company's total sales volume during its attendance period on the UK market.

Meanwhile, in October 2025 itself, according to a report from the BBC, it revealed that the Chinese brand recorded huge sales, even soaring to 880 percent.

BYD's best-selling product in the UK is Seal U DM-I, the car packs 1.5 liter gasoline engines and 218-hp electric motors. Seal U DM-i sold for more than 10,000 units in 10 months and became the UK's best-selling PHEV.

Next year, BYD plans to launch the Denza B5 offroad SUV in the UK market. The model is sold on the domestic market under the name Fang Cheng Bao Bao 5. Denza B5 will try to compete in an old British-made offroad car, Land Rover.

In 2027, BYD will introduce the luxury brand Yangwang to England. The models will compete with Bentley and Rolls-Royce.
