Survey Proves: Performance Of Sandiaga, Risma, Erick Thohir Most Ok In The Public Eye

JAKARTA - Puspoll Indonesia placed Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Erick Thohir, in third place for the level of performance satisfaction in the Cabinet of Joko Widodo and Ma'ruf Amin in a survey conducted in April 2021.

"A total of 7.3 percent of respondents stated very well, and 62.2 percent were quite good", Indonesian Polling Center Executive Director, Muslimin Tanja, said in an online press conference quoted by Antara, Sunday, May 23.

Sandiaga Uno who leads the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy was ranked first with 11.3 percent of respondents stating very well, and 68.5 percent stating quite well.

Furthermore, Tri Rismaharini in the Ministry of Social Affairs ranked second with 10.6 percent of respondents stating very well, and 66.8 percent stating quite well.

"Sandiaga Uno and Risma as the new minister are quite popular figures", Muslimin said.

The next ministers' performances were Nadiem Makarim at the Ministry of Education and Culture-Research and Technology, Tito Karnavian at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Budi Gunadi Sadikin at the Ministry of Health, Yasonna Laoly at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, and Bahlil Lahadalia at the Coordinating and Investment Agency.

Puspoll Indonesia conducts a national survey of people's political preferences. Data collection was conducted on April 20-29, 2021 through face-to-face interviews using structured questionnaires.

The sample number of 1,600 respondents spread across 34 provinces. The survey used a multilevel random method with a margin of error of approximately 2.45 percent at a confidence level of 95 percent. The minimum age of respondents is 17 years old or already eligible voters.
