Polda And BPN Kaltara Strengthen Collaboration To Overcome Land Conflicts
TANJUNG SELOR - North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Police Chief Inspector General Djati Wiyoto Century said the importance of synergy between the Regional Police and the National Land Agency (BPN) in resolving land disputes in the Kaltara region.
This statement was made when receiving a visit from the Head of Regional Office for BPN Kaltara Province, Ade Chandra Wijaya, and his staff in the Regional Police Chief's office, Wednesday, November 19.
"We make sure that every land issue is handled professionally and transparently. There is no tolerance for resolutions that disturb public security," said Police Chief Inspector General Djati accompanied by the Director General of Criminal Investigation of the Kaltara Police, Kombes Yudhistira Midyahwan.
During the meeting, the Kapolda also emphasized the importance of strategic steps, ranging from handling ongoing cases to securing government assets.
"Good coordination between these two agencies will minimize conflicts and ensure that services to the community run quickly and appropriately," said the Kapolda.
The Kapolda revealed that legal certainty and public sense of security are the top priorities. Therefore, the synergy between the Regional Police and BPN as the foundation for solving agrarian or land problems in Kaltara.
"We don't want a land dispute to develop into a disturbance of kamtibmas. Everything must be resolved firmly and fairly," said the Kapolda.
Meanwhile, the Head of the National Land Agency for Kaltara Province, Ade Chandra Wijaya, said this visit was a moment to strengthen coordination with the Police in Kaltara.
"We are also discussing the preparation of the Security Assistance Cooperation Agreement which will serve as operational guidelines for both parties," he explained.
"The strengthening of this collaboration is expected to provide legal certainty for the people of Kaltara as well as maintain security stability in all provinces," he said.
